Treasure Hunting Courses
Frequently Asked Questions
Are your courses legal and ethical?
Yes. We teach permission-first searching, local regulations, land access etiquette, and ethical recovery practices. You’ll learn how to verify permissions and document your process so you can hunt responsibly.
Do I need a metal detector to start?
Not always. Some field classes can provide loaner detectors (limited quantity), and theory/online modules require no equipment. If you bring your own, we’ll help you set it up and tune it for your environment.
How big are classes and what’s the coaching style?
We keep cohorts small for real coaching—typically 8–14 people. Expect practical drills, structured search grids, target ID exercises, and short feedback loops so you improve quickly.
Do you provide a certificate of completion?
Yes. You’ll receive a digital certificate after completing the course requirements (attendance + skills check or final quiz, depending on the course format).
What should I bring to a field session?
Comfortable outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear, gloves, water, and sun/rain protection. If you have them: metal detector, pinpointer, small digging tool, pouch, and a phone with offline maps.
Can I join if I’m a complete beginner?
Absolutely. We start with fundamentals: safe digging, reading signals, discrimination basics, search patterns, and recovery technique. Advanced coaching is offered as optional add-ons for experienced hunters.
What about artifacts and historically sensitive areas?
We emphasize respect for heritage laws and protected sites. If an area is restricted or culturally sensitive, we do not search it. When in doubt, we teach you how to check official guidance and choose alternative locations.
Do you offer refunds or rescheduling?
If weather or safety conditions require cancellation, we reschedule at no cost. If you can’t attend, rescheduling is usually possible with notice. Ask us in the form and we’ll confirm based on the course type.
